Brittany Powell Blaschke is the projection designer behind Dark Lumen Productions, with a portfolio spanning opera, theatre, dance, and live events. Known for crafting immersive visual environments that enhance storytelling, she brings a distinct blend of technical expertise and artistic sensitivity to every project.
Originally from Florida, Brittany earned her Master’s degree in Digital Arts and Sciences from the University of Florida, where her research focused on projection mapping for non-rectilinear surfaces. This foundation in experimental digital media continues to shape her innovative approach to spatial design and visual composition.
Now based in Cleveland, she collaborates with directors, choreographers, and designers nationwide, delivering projection designs that are both technically sophisticated and emotionally resonant. Her work can be seen in venues across the country—from regional theatres to major opera houses—always serving to support the narrative and elevate the audience experience. Whether transforming the contours of a set with subtle textures or commanding attention with bold, kinetic imagery, Brittany approaches each project with curiosity, precision, and a deep respect for live performance.
